CORMS Chapel's Ministry Groups
Corms Church Men Fellowship is open to all married men within the Corms Church family. It is a place where men come together to encourage one another in the walk of righteousness in an environment that you can be vulnerable to one another and learn from each other. Paul wrote to Timothy in 1 Timothy 2:8, that he wanted “the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or argument.” This is significant because Paul is advocating for men to pray, worship, and lead the church in peace. We also see in Luke 22:32, Jesus urged Peter to “strengthen your brothers”. Men who are strong in the faith are men who are strengthened in their faith by fellow brothers in the faith. As a man, you can’t be spiritually strong while neglecting the fellowship of other men at the same time. The Men fellowship has been a place where men come together to;
- Connect with other Kingdom men in a small group setting for spiritual growth and accountability.
- Come together with other Kingdom men to serve the ministries of the church and participate in approved community and outreach projects. We encourage the men to participate in assisting with church weddings, transpor tation needs of the church, funding church projects.
- Pray together. In 2021 we had a day to pray and fast for one another where each day we prayed for one man and his family which has strengthened the bond and oneness in the men fellowship by bearing one another’s burden
- Be Sharpened by Other Men -There is a sharpening that a man can only experience when in the presence and fellowship of other men, particularly his peers. As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. To sharpen a piece of iron, you don’t rub it against gold or silver—you rub it against another piece of iron. To sharpen himself, a man needs to rub shoulders with another man. We hold annual Men Conferences and book review sessions to deepen training and mentoring.
- Experience Depth of Relationship with Other Men -there is a depth of friendship that a man was designed to experience with another man. Proverbs 18:24 says, “A man of too many friends comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” A man who exhibits wisdom in his relationships is a man who has close relationships with fellow brothers in Christ. We hold regular mbuzi and barbecue meetings to share together, play and deepen the bond of friendship.
Children are an important and valuable part of God's Kingdom. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these,” - Matthew 19:13-14. We love children and believe we need to raise our children in a godly manner. Bring your children to our kid centered Sunday school where your child can grow relationally and in the word. We also have a Crèche where young infants can rest and be fed.
Allow your child to connect with God at a tender age.
- Personalized teachings for every age group -Our children are grouped and taught according to their ages.
- Equipped to be prayer warriors- We dedicate an hour every Sunday to teach our children how to pray and to pray along with them.
- Spiritually enriching programs- We host bible festival every April Holiday and Camp every August Holiday.
- Bible fun and discovery programs -Teaching the word of God should not be boring, for this reason we host competition programs for bible champions where children recites twenty to a hundred memory verses according to their age. The competition is usually aimed at motivating the children to learn the word of God and they are rewarded through a trip at the end of the year.
- Craft work- We are very practical in teaching the word of God and our young ones are always engaged with various craft work to help them understand the word better.
- Personalized member care-We value every soul and in regard to this we intentionally walk with every child to see that God’s purposes for their life is being accomplished at every stage of their lives.
The CORMS youth, also known as 'The Zions', comprises young men and ladies who are dedicated to undergoing a transformative journey to emulate the image and likeness of Christ. Inspired by 1 Timothy 4:12, "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and purity, " we aspire to be shining examples to other young people in this challenging generation and at such a time as this. The Zions youth team offers various programs to help young people grow in godly character, knowledge, and wisdom. The goal is to develop well-rounded individuals who are strong in faith and filled with the Holy Spirit.
PROGRAMS OFFERED BY THE ZIONS MINISTRY
PRAISE AND WORSHIP TEAMWe as CORMS Zions seek to worship God in truth and spirit in our daily lives as depicted in John 4:24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and truth. Romans 12:1 says; Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Our deepest desire is to not only offer ourselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable before God but to also lead the body of Christ in experiencing God in a deep and impactful way. We are certain that to transform young people's lives, we need the power of the Holy Spirit and to continually abide in Him, for apart from Him we can do nothing.
Ushering Ministry provides an opportunity for young believers to serve God through their service to men. Christ dedicated His service to others and encouraged all his followers to do so. The word of God will be shared effectively in His Kingdom. God is still on the lookout for faithful servants as seen in 1 Samuel 3:10. He called out Samuel as a replacement for Eli in the service. He assures us of a blessing in Hebrews 6:10 - For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have showed toward His name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. We desire to present ourselves as vessels of honour for noble use in service to God, that His glory will radiate in us and His mighty works will be done through us as it was in the days of old and as done by His disciples. We desire to be found faithful servants as young people in the church.
Zions Media Department is dedicated to empowering the next generation to grow spiritually through media. In today’s digital world, platforms like video, podcasts, and social media offer incredible opportunities to engage with God’s Word and share the Gospel. Our youth are encouraged to use their creativity to produce and share content that inspires faith and community, while also learning valuable technical skills in media production. Through training and mentorship, they not only develop these skills but also grow deeper in their spiritual lives. By combining faith with creativity, we aim to equip young people to serve the Lord through digital evangelism. As they participate in media, they are reaching out to their peers and influencing others for Christ in ways that resonate in today’s society. Join us in this exciting ministry where media meets mission, and watch how the next generation is shaping the future of faith-driven content. Psalms 68:11, “The Lord announces the word, and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng”
The Nurturing Ministry is committed to cultivating the spiritual growth and maturity of young individuals in Christ Jesus by empowering them with a deep understanding of the word of God through immersive scripture reading and meditation. In Deuteronomy 8:3, the word of God says, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD”. Our approach includes engaging Bible study sessions, expository sermons, and impactful teachings, all aimed at establishing a firm grounding in the fundamental truths of God's word, which bring abundant life. A solid foundation in Christ Jesus, the Word of God, is essential for ensuring that young believers mature in their faith and remain doctrinally sound. Through rigorous discipleship and training, the ministry is steadfast in equipping young believers with essential Bible-reading skills, drawing inspiration from the Berean Christians in Acts 17, to ensure their ability to independently study and understand the word.
As youths brought together to serve and live for God, our gifts become a very integral part in helping us bring out what God has bestowed upon us. This includes dance, singing, spoken word, dance, Christian apologetics and many more that God has endowed us with. Zion's ministry aims to explore all these gifts by giving members a platform to showcase and edify the body of Christ to the glory of God.
